No one likes to party harder than the Gumball 3000 drivers! But with almost 20% of drink drive convictions happening the morning after the organisers have teamed up with AlcoSense breathalysers to make sure that alcohol is cleared from their system before they drive on the next leg of the route.
Gumball 3000 runs from London to Istanbul. With drivers covering the 3000 mile route through eight countries in eight days, with a party stop in every country.
Gumball 3000 will use AlcoSense, market leaders in personal breathalysers, to test everyone before they set off each morning. AlcoSense staff were on hand to test the drivers before they set off from Covent Garden on 26th May on the first leg of the rally from London to Paris. Gumball organisers will test the drivers before each leg of the route after overnight stops at Paris, Barcelona, Monaco Grand Prix, Venice and Belgrade before finishing in Istanbul on 1st June.
Hunter Abbott, Managing Director of AlcoSense said “We are delighted to be the Alcohol Testing Partner for Gumball 3000. Gumball’s a fun event but safe as well, were glad we’re able to help keep it that way.”
